From a young age, I knew art and design was my passion. I knew that one day I would be using my creativity to change the world around me. My parents taught me and gave me many opportunities to learn new mediums and techniques. In elementary school, my class met the famous author Eric Carl. He read a story to the class, in our art class taught his technique and talked about being an artist and designer. That moment, I realized that is what I need to do, become a designer. I mean, look around you, everything you see there is a designer behind it. That next day I started saving money for college, which was difficult coming from a poor to middle-class blue-collar family who did not think even one of their kids where going to college. So I came up with a creative way of coming up with the money for a 7-year-old, saving my lunch money.

- In 6th grade, I started to go to Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in the summer and continued to go through half of high school. There I explored weaving, knitting, woodworking, painting (oil, acrylic, and watercolor), ceramics, pottery wheel, and drawing. Not taking any art classes until my junior year of high school when I took photography. My teacher, Mr. Lounds, was great. He had us experiment with different techniques, even challenged us to create our own. I fell in love with collage and distressing images that I have taken to create a piece of art. From that moment, my idea of graphic design and digital art was forever changed. I was greatly interested in doing more and advancing my skills.
- Aug. 2009, I went to Finlandia University, is where I met some of the most creative and nurturing professors that I have had. Here is where I refined my skills I have started doing already and expanding into new interests like sustainable design and landscape design. While learning more about graphic design and programs used. I was able to take part in the student gallery and a member of the Young Women’s Caucus. I took a few graphic design specific courses.
- January 2015, I started in the Graphic Design Program at Washtenaw Community College. Over the next year and a half, I worked on my graphic design and web design skills. Learning and applying layout, typography, hand lettering, grid, comping, HTML, CSS, and more. I became active in the graphic design club, web depot club, member of AGI and Detroit ACM SIGGRAPH. Later that year in June, I started Moeglin Design to give my career a jump-start and to help friends, family, and companies who have reached out to me for their branding and marketing needs.
- In May 2016, I graduated from Washtenaw Community College with an associate degree in applied science in Graphic Design and Technology. The next month Moeglin Design would become Moeglin Design & Moeglin Photography. I started proving all marketing needs and photographs (portraits, weddings & engagements, sports & events, senior picture, newborns, maternity, studio & product photography). In August of that year, I joined HR Imaging as a photographer.
- In February of 2017, I left HR Imaging to seek more opportunities. With an offer from Credit Technologies I started as their Digital Marketing Specialist, my job is to create, develop and execute all digital marketing materials including Social media, website, and graphics for the company.
- May 2017, we launch MortgagePreflight.com; which took me 3 weeks to design, develop and launch. When working on this website. This is definitely when my hard work, drive, and passion for the industry really shined through; with long days, contentious thinking and writing down ideas and solutions to the many problems we were having.
I hope you enjoyed hearing about my story so far, for this is just the beginning of my childhood dream becoming a reality.
